Infiltrator apprehended

 SHILLONG: The BSF on Sunday in Tuka, East Khasi Hills apprehended one Bangladeshi national identified as Md Abdul Kasim (30) while he was trying to infiltrate into India from Bangladesh.

During search conducted, the BSF recovered 30 grams of suspected gold and one mobile phone.

In another incident, BSF troops in Lukaichar, West Garo Hills seized 47 bottles of whisky worth Rs 4470 while it was being smuggled into Bangladesh.

Apprehended persons and seized items have been handed over to concerned department for further disposal and legal action as per law of the land.
