Gadkari’s remarks condemned

The State NCP has condemned BJP president Nitin Gadkari for his statement comparing Swami Vivekananda with gangster Dawood Ibrahim. In a statement issued here on Tuesday, Meghalaya NCP president Sanbor Shullai said the party was anguished over the statement of Gadkari. Shullai also urged the people of the State, regardless of caste, creed and religion to condemn Gadkari’s thoughtless and insane comment in the strongest possible terms.

Get together

Ri War Mihngi Youth Welfare Organisation will organize a get together of all the people of Riwar Mihngi region residing in Shillong on November 9 from 12.30 pm at Dorbar Hall cum Indoor stadium. Meritorious students of Ri War Mihngi will also be awarded on the occasion.

K.L. Bajoria College in collaboration with Meghalaya Aids Control Society will organise a seminar on HIV AIDS and Blood Donation, on November 12 at 10am in the College Auditorium. Students of the college will also perform a street play on Thursday at 12:30 pm at the Polo Parking Lot.
