Pariong launches ambulance

NONGSTOIN: Pariong Legislator, Dr A Pariong on Friday released one ambulance, for the Nongstoin Regional Local Taxi Owner & Driver Association (NRLTODA) at Nongstoin circuit House, in the presence of the EAC MB Tongper, MVI of Nongstoin B.Lakiang, HANM President Arphul Kharbani and the members of the NRLTODA.

The ambulance was sponsored under the SRWP Scheme to provide 24 hours facility to the patients, officials said Friday.

In his speech as the chief guest, Dr Pariong congratulated the efforts of the Members of the NRLTODA for reaching the goal as they have wanted longtime back.

He also said that the members of the Association had met him on 2008-09 when he was the Health Minister, before handing them the Ambulance that would help provide services to the people of Nongstoin Constituency, which will cater to the need of the patients in getting better and faster medical services.

He said that the presence of this ambulance will instill confidence among the people of the area in gaining access to medical services during critical times.

He further states that the Health sector is being given top priority in the State and all efforts are being made to improve the healthy delivery system. Meanwhile, he said that the Ambulance was sanction through the SRWP scheme of 2010-11, from his own salary as the MLA of Pariong and also through the contribution of the NRLTODA members.
