Six dengue cases reported in Garo Hills

 TURA: Six dengue cases were reported in Garo Hills in the past one week.

According to a health official, the first four cases were confirmed on November 13 while two more cases were detected on Saturday.

The affected persons including four women are undergoing treatment at the Tura Civil Hospital.

The cases were confirmed after their blood samples were sent to Delhi for examination.

Since dengue fever is a mosquito-borne infection, the health authorities have sprayed DDT in affected areas where the victims resided.

Power cut in Garo Hills

Power was restored in the entire Garo Hills on Sunday night after a delay of 12 hours. There was disruption in supply of power at around 11.30 am on Sunday in the entire Garo Hills which was finally restored at around 11.45 pm.
