Fraud

Addl. Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills DM Wahlang submitted a complaint at Lumdiengjri PS that on November 13, one Kubir Uddin had submitted fake birth certificate to obtain an EPIC.

Theft

On Wednesday morning, one motorcycle (ML-05H-8712) belonging to one, P Kharwanlang was reported missing from Mawlai Umjaiur, Shillong. Matter is under enquiry.

On November 20 at around 4.30 pm, three unknown miscreants stole telephone cables from behind the Office of Social Welfare, Lower Lachumiere.

On November 19 at around 12.30 am, unknown miscreants stole some gold ornaments, clothes, an ATM Card, Passport & some documents from the house of one, Bhim Sharma at 10th Mile, Mawsmai under Khanapara PS, Ri-Bhoi . Stolen properties valued around Rs. 50,000. Matter is under enquiry.

On November 19 around at 10.30 am, Forest Guards apprehended five people, Tengrak Sangma, Alla Uddin Sangma, Epilton G. Momin, Welpin Marak and Merison Marak while they were sawing timbers from the Kharkutta Reserve Forest at Chiwak, North Garo Hills.

On November 17, unknown miscreants stole one Samsung mobile phone belonging to one Aradhana Thakur at Police Bazaar.

Dr P Lyngkhoi, DMHO, West Khasi Hills lodged a complaint at Nongstoin PS that on October 29, unknown miscreants stole the engines from two Govt. vehicles (ML-01-1517 & ML-01-1024) which were parked at his quarter at Nongstoin, West Khasi Hills.

Police arrested four persons– Kitbok Marwein, Pynshai Rani, Musak Marwein and Masterlin Lyngdoh in connection with a robbery case under Madanriting PS.

Attempt to rape

One woman lodged a complaint at Mawlai PS that on November 18, one Welcome Khyriem Basan attempted to rape her near OM Roy School, Mawlai Kynton Massar.

Assault

On November 21 at around 12 noon, one Pop assaulted one Kiswel Nongspung at Laitdiengshai, Smit East Khasi Hills. As a result, he had sustained injuries and was shifted to Shillong.
