Two ANVC cadres arrested

TURA: West Garo Hills police have begun investigations into alleged nexus between ANVC militants under ceasefire and its breakaway faction following arrest of two senior cadres from the former who were found involved in large scale extortion in Tura by using the name of their arch rivals GNLA. Tura police commandos caught red handed senior ANVC ceasefire militant Togan R Marak (33 yrs) and Henush G Momin (28), both hailing from Bajengdoba, as they were extorting money from a businessman in Araimile market of Tura on Thursday.
