Diamond jubilee

The Anthropological Survey of India, North East Regional Centre, Shillong has entered its Diamond Jubilee and a function for the same will be held on December 11 at 11:30AM at Hotel Polo Towers.

 Inspection

Phonographic performance limited will be holding an inspection of all the non-compliant establishments in Police Bazaar area from December 10 to 14 to be conducted jointly by Phonographic Performance Limited and the District Administration, East Khasi Hills and in the presence of a duly-appointed Magistrate.

This move is being undertaken due to non-compliance of commercial establishments in obtaining the Public Performance License.

 Farewell

The NEHUTA in its general body meeting held on November 7 bid farewell to four Professors, namely Apurba K. Baruah, M.B. Jyrwa, Bimaljyoti Deb and N.K. Sinha belonging to disciplines of political science, Khasi literature and Geography respectively. NEHUTA president Prof. Xavier P. Mao general secy Prof Prasenjit Biswas organized the event.
