ANVC(B) linkman apprehended

SHILLONG: The State Police along with the BSF recently apprehended one ANVC (B) linkman from Gopinathkilla market area, West Garo Hills. The apprehended person was identified as Errit N. Marak (21) of South Garo Hills. He was nabbed following a joint operation at Gopinathkilla market area by the state police and BSF on December 19 at 11:30am.

The operation party also recovered a Nokia Mobile, One spare battery, One Reliance SIM card, four blank goods receipt slip and Indian Currency Rs. 1062 from his possession.

Meanwhile, the BSF on December 22 napped one Bangladeshi smuggler identified as Sah Jamal (40) from South West Garo Hills.

The person was apprehended while he was infiltrating to India from Bangladesh near. During search, party recovered one mobile hand set with one Bangladesh Sim from his possession.

Besides above, BSF also seized 13 numbers of cattle, country made boat, liquor and other contraband items of the estimated value of Rs. 6, 63,000 during the last week.

Apprehended persons and seized items have been handed over to the concerned department for further disposal and legal action as per law of the land.
