Warjri resigns as MSCW chief

 SHILLONG: Meghalaya State Women Commission (MSCW) chairperson Roshan Warjri has resigned from the post.

Confirming this, sources on Saturday said Warjri put in her papers since she is contesting the upcoming Assembly elections from Shillong North constituency on a Congress ticket.

According to sources, the MSCW chairperson submitted her resignation letter to both Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma and Social Welfare Minister JA Lyngdoh on January 21.
