Nagaland CM calls for peace for development

Kohima: Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has called for continued communal harmony for further progress and development.

Speaking as the Chief Guest in the Golden Jubilee celebration of Dihoma Village Students’ Union (DVSU) at the newly inaugurated Village Council Hall at Dihoma on Saturday, he also stressed on the importance of having the right attitude with right education.

Mr Rio exhorted the educated to retrospect on past achievements and plan for the future as per the jubilee motto ‘Towards a New Vision,’ while asserting that if each segment of a village does its duty, it can progress and advance.

He further called upon parents and teachers to be equally responsible for the education of a child, while advising students to be obedient and study with sincerity and dedication to achieve success.

Earlier, the Chief Minister unveiled the jubilee monolith and officially inaugurated the Dihoma Village Council hall. (UNI)
