Top Tripura insurgent leader nabbed in Dhaka

Agartala: Supremo of the outlawed All Tripura Tiger Force, Ranjit Debbarma, and his family members have been arrested by Bangladesh security forces in Dhaka, intelligence sources said on Friday.

Army intelligence personnel raided the hideout of Ranjit Debbarma in Mohammadpur area on December 30 and arrested him, his wife, fourteen-year-old daughter who is a student of class 8 and another woman of the the outfit, Debika Debbarma, the sources said. It was not known whether they would be handed over to the Indian authorities as there is no extradition treaty between India and Bangladesh. (PTI)
