SHILLONG: The ANVC (B) chief Rimpu Marak said the outfit was willing to meet the leaders of other councils and social leaders of Khasi and Jhantia Hills to discuss the matters concerning the role of traditional heads and chiefs in the growth of the State. In a statement issued here on Monday, Marak said the KHADC and JHADC will benefit from the peace pact as settlement privileges will be in no way confined to the GHADC.

The Government’s plan to strengthen the GHADC following talks with the ANVC had led to demands for strengthening the KHADC and the JHADC.
