SHILLONG: All India Garo Union (AIGU) has asked the State Chief Secretary to re-examine results of the promotion examination for the post of Accounts Officer under Administrative Control of the Finance department, results of which were declared recently.

AIGU president Elbarth Marak said in personal interview conducted by the MPSC only three out of eight garo candidates were declared passed which was far below the 40 per cent earmarked for Garos under the job reservation policy.

The Union also condoled the death of former Minister Maysalin War who expired on January 3.
