Tynsong has been replaced by the Extension Officer of Pynursla Block, P Suchen while Arengh wasc replaced by Bomfield Momin.

According to the Director of Community and Rural Development department, F Kharlyngdoh, the two officials received their transfer order on Tuesday.

Kharlyngdoh stated that both the officials have exceeded their 3-year terms as BDO following which they have been transferred back to their parent department.

As per the guidelines of the Election Commission, no government officials who have political connection can serve in areas where relatives are contesting.

Moreover, the attempt of transfer is also aimed at checking any influence by the officials on the election process.

“No official can continue to stay in one Block for more than 3 years and Resubelpara happened to be the hometown of Arengh,” Kharlyngdoh said adding that transfer orders were sent to Arengh on several instances but he had refused to move out.
