Election snippets Conscience vote

The West Garo Hills district administration has roped in Church to spread the message of conscience vote aimed at ethical selection of candidates. The West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner Pravin Bakshi said that after a meeting with the Church leaders, he has secured their assurance that the message of ethical voting will be spread on Sundays when there is a large congregation. Not only the churches of various denominations, Bakshi also decided to approach the leaders of other faiths to spread the message that there is spiritual realm of voting.                
Graffiti
The cartoon characters of Supandi and Tintin have appeared in a graffiti in Shillong and the purpose is to make the youngsters aware the need to vote. The graffiti also has other local characters who tell that money power should be shunned.         
Feasting under scanner
Candidates, who sponsor picnic and organize feasts will come under the scanner of the Election Commission. If the motive is to bribe voters, the candidates will be violating the election code of conduct.
Right candidates  
The FKJGP on Sunday appealed the people of the state to wisely make use of their votes. With elections drawing near, FKJGP president Joe Marwein asked the people to learn from their previous mistakes and choose the right candidates for a change to take place.
