Agartala: Union Minister of State for Urban Development Deepa Dasmunshi on Thursday criticized the CPM -led Left Front government’s propagandas while asking it to ‘stop fooling the people of the state.’

Speaking at an election rally at Abhoynagar market here, she said the Left Front has nothing to offer to the people and was busy looting the funds provided from the Centre.

Dasmunsi said that the Centre allocates crores of rupees for different development projects in the state. Unfortunately, the government fools people by claiming shortage of funds, she said.

While the employees of other state government were offered of Central pay structure the state employees remain deprived, Dasmunshi added.

She alleged that all the developmental programmes for which the Left took credit were being planned and funded by the Central government.

“The Left government has allotted BPL cards to their well to do cadres, relatives and friends of the CPI (M) leaders thus depriving the poor people of the state,” she said.

She also challenged the CPI (M) to furnish a proper account of the expenditure and funds they received from the Centre.
