SHILLONG: The Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) will meet Chief Secretary WMS Pariat on Friday to discuss the recent Williamnagar jail attack incident which left two policemen dead.

“The Chief Secretary has agreed to meet us to discuss the matter,” KSU general secretary Auguster Jyrwa said on Thursday, adding that meeting will stress on the security aspects of Khasis and Jaintias serving in Garo Hills.

The KSU, which is organizing a black flag march on Friday along with other local NGOs, has urged business houses and shops along the route of the flag march to keep their shutters down as a mark of solidarity.

The march will begin at 10am from KSU office, Jaiaw and proceed via Mawkhar, Motphran and Khyndai Lad to culminate at the Parking Lot near the Additional Secretariat.

Meanwhile, civil societies of Williamnagar have also decided to hold a protect rally on Friday and wear black badge to protest the brutal killing of the two policemen.
