Congress, UDP to release poll manifestoes today

 New Delhi: Top AICC leader Oscar Fernandes arrived in Shillong on Sunday for release of the Congress election manifesto on Monday, the same day when the UDP is also set to release its poll manifesto.

Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma, MPCC president DD Lapang, former Union Minister of State Vincent H Pala and newly appointed AICC general secretary in charge of Meghalaya Mukul Wasnik will remain present at the release function on Monday. Two other AICC leaders, several Cabinet ministers and other top State Congress leaders will also attend the function.

Meanwhile, Fernandese held a series of meetings with Lapang and others senior State leaders of the party to give final touches to the manifesto.
