Public meet

The KSU Mawlai Circle will organise a public meet to discuss on the evil role played by money during elections at Mawlai Bus Stand at 6pm on Tuesday. The Union has invited members from the church bodies and other student bodies to take part in the meet.

Notice

The District Election Officer, West Khasi Hills District, has informed the public of Nongstoin, Rambrai Jyrngam and Mawshynrut Assembly constituencies that the control room is functioning in the office of the Deputy Commissioner, West Khasi Hills for conduct of election to the State Legislative Assembly on February 23.

Condemnation

The FKJGP Nongthymmai Circle has condemned the gang-rape of an 18-year-old girl by three men including a 15-year-old juvenile at Lapalang late Saturday evening and has demanded stringent action against the accused.

Meet

The Seng Samla Kur Kharnaior will organise a meet at indoor stadium Mawapkhaw, Mawdatbaki on February 16 at 2pm.

Programme held

The Shillong Sunni Welfare Association organised the religious programme of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabiswa for the children of Laban locality at Queenie School, Laban. Naath Competition was organised with Saba Ahmed securing the 1st position while Nadiya Ahmed Shifa Rynjah came second and third respectively.

Saraswati Puja

The Rilbong Saraswati Puja Committee, 2013 is organising various competitions as part of the Puja celebration on February 15. Among the events are art and dance competition and open to all Quiz.
