Juveniles held

Three juveniles were arrested after they committed burglary at Demthring and Laitkor localities on Thursday. While police recovered the stolen gold necklaces, cell phones and bicycles from Laitkor, coins and grocery items which were stolen from Demthring were also recovered. The accused have been forwarded to juvenile court.

Assault

On February 15 around 1:30 am, miscreants assaulted one Solomon Deb (22) at Demseiniong, Shillong. As a result, the victim sustained injuries and was moved to Civil Hospital, Shillong.

Found dead

On February 14, Elizabeth Darngawn (34) was found dead inside her residence at Lapalang, Shillong.

Assault

On February 14 at around 7:15 pm, miscreants assaulted Rahul Bhowmik (24) at R.R Colony, Rynjah, Shillong. As a result, the victim sustained injuries and shifted to Civil Hospital, Shillong.

Attempted murder

On February 12 midnight, acting on a tip-off, Mendipathar police raided the house of Mibarin B. Marak at Nogol village in North Garo Hills and arrested eleven persons identified as Nanguh R. Marak , Silman R. Marak, Rajesh R. Marak, Joybirth R. Marak, Karak M. Sangma , Riksang R. Sangma , Bilnang Ch. Marak,Jangte D. Sangma , Ronjon Kumar Roy, Gesu Ch. Sangma and Chinang G. Momin in connection with an attempted murder case.
