Laban SC win big ahead of last-four

SHILLONG: Laban Sports Club defeated Tornado CC by 65 runs in the last Second Division league match of the Shillong Cricket League, organised by the Shillong Cricket Association, at Polo Grounds.

Laban won the toss and elected to bat first. They put up a solid total of 138 for seven wickets in 20 overs.

Mark scored 59 off 53 balls while Pawan took four wickets for 18 runs in four overs.

In reply, Tornado were restricted to a painful 73-8 in their 20 overs.

Robin scored 19 runs, while Manish Rai took four for 11.

In the semifinal matches on Friday, Group A toppers Laban take on Pinewood CC and Young Guns, who topped Group B face Tornado. The Laban and Young Guns won all three of their league matches.
