TURA: Urging the general public to support them, the Joint Action Committee of All Commercial Vehicles Garo Hills has announced that the Committee will call a 48 hours Chaka Bandh of all commercial vehicles from April 2, 5:00 am to April 4, 5:00 am.

The JAC informed that the Bandh has been initiated by the Committee since the concerned authorities failed to address the Committee’s demands.

The Committee said that it will resort to further action unless the Tura Public Transport Service buses stop operating beyond the municipality areas and the Government releases and makes payment for the vehicles requisitioned for Law and Order duties.
