Assault

lOn April 19, one Norpada Das, Chowkidar of PHE, assaulted Dr. Cliff N Sangma in the PHE campus at Lawmali, Shillong. As a result, the victim sustained injuries and was shifted to Civil Hospital, Shillong.

lOne Sengbina Marak lodged a complaint at Tura PS that on April 14 midnight, one Chubala R Marak and her accomplices, assaulted and threatened her with dire consequences in her residence at Police Reserve Quarters, Tura.

Theft

lOn April 17, unknown miscreants stole a motorcycle belonging to Bright Wilber Marak from Gasuapara.

lOn April 14, unknown miscreants stole Rs 9 lakh and clothes from the house of one Noben Nongspung at Mawbah (East Khasi Hills).

Kidnap

Principal Sangma lodged a complaint at Rongjeng PS that his son-in-law Karben T. Sangma was found missing from Simsang Atimbo village (East Garo Hills), since December 2012. However, on April 7, one Hollipton Momin along with one unidentified person, armed with AK-47 went to the his house and forcibly took away the motorcycle (ML-07B-0662) belonging to the missing person. It is also reported that there has been a regular transaction from two SBI Accounts belonging to the missing person.

Arrest

The State police arrested three persons in connection with the abduction of a person at North Garo Hills earlier this month. The three persons have been identified as Jehu G Momin (26), Anobi G. Momin (27 ) and Akbar Ali (27).
