Laskein block upgradation demanded

 JOWAI: The Laskein Block Welfare Organisation (LBWO) and the Synjuk ki Rangbah Shnong, Laskein Block (SRS-LB) have again reminded the State government on their demands to upgrade Laskein Development Block in West Jaintia Hills to a full-fledged Civil Sub-Division.

Secretary LBWO and Adviser SRS-LB, Priskus Sutnga informed that both the organization have submitted couple of Memorandums to the government in this connection but till date the government has not responded.

He informed that the Laskein Development Block is one of the oldest blocks. If the block is upgraded it will immensely benefit the local residents in the area.
