Miscreants identified

The State Police has arrested nineteen persons in connection with the recent incident at Mawrynkang village where a mob attacked and destroyed the house along with household articles including cash, gold ornaments and vehicles belonging to Trimelin Nongsiej for alleged practicing witch craft.

Marshillong (45), Hording Kurbah (40 ), Kopbor Kharshilot (25), Wanpynshai Kharshilot (19),) Elgi Syiemlieh (45), Hemlan Nongrum (25 ), Donbor Lyngkhoi (24 ), Teiborlang Lyngdoh (23), Hem Kharbani (40), Therbor Rynga (23), (11) Leo Marwein (30), Klansing Lyngdoh (40 ), Branley Kharsyntiew (33), Blesting Nongsiej (36), Wanlambok Lyngkhoi (18 ), Michael Lyngkhoi (21), Shanborlang Kharbani (15),Jamborlang Lyngdoh (16) and Jennifer Wanniang (30 ).

Assault

On April 22 around 5.30 pm, residents of Domsohpian and adjoining villages pelted stones on three Police vehicles (ML-02-0087), (ML-02-0053) and (ML-02-0094) at Domsohpian (EKH). As a result, the vehicles were damaged and three Police personnel sustained injuries.
