Sexual abuse
Juole Shadap lodged a complaint at Laitumkhrah Police Station that on April 27 around 1 pm, one minor boy aged (16) took a minor girl aged (15) to his friend’s house at Nongrim Hills, Shillong, where he sexually abused her.
Theft
One Sunny Thapa and his associate Ranjit Mooshahary, both from Nongrimmaw, were arrested on Monday for allegedly stealing several items from MES quarters at Nongrimmaw in the first week of April. The seized items include curtains, bed sheets, plain clothes, a sofa and chair covers, jute carpets, a bicycle and kids scooter, a TV and utensils.
On the night of April 27, unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-09-8875) belonging to Sillash Ch. Marak from Mission Compound, Tura.
Police arrested three persons – Shanker Dey (45), Gosen Ette (36) and Dammer Singh Gurung (58) – in connection with a burglary near Laban Post Office recently.
Property damaged
One Kamsingh Nongbri lodged a complaint at Sohra PS that on November last year, Koljenson Kharkongor and 12 others entered his licensed pata land at Mawjrong and damaged properties valued at Rs 5 lakh. They also threatened to dismantle his house.
Body found
On April 26 at around 3.30 pm, the body of one Joysiness Lyngdoh was recovered from Mawmluh village (West Khasi Hills). The deceased was reportedly missing since April 21, 2013. Necessary formalities have been observed.
One killed
Pholasly Ninaglang, Sordar of Nonglang, lodged a complaint at Riangdo OP that on April 25, unknown miscreants murdered Obet Nianglang Bula of Porla Nongtrai village (West Khasi Hills). Necessary formalities have been observed.
Abduction
Regarding the abduction of one Laben D. Sangma, a coal supplier, and Bupender Singh, truck driver (JK-02V-1475), from Rongku Bridge (West Garo Hills), further reports received indicate that on April 28 at around 3 am, the victims were released by their abductors at Dakopgre, Tura
Police arrested one Wanboklang Kharbudon, alias Michael, in connection with the kidnapping of Rushadella Wahlang (F/17) from Qualapatty, Shillong.
Attempted murder
Bythygrace Dkhar lodged a complaint that on April 23 at around 9.30 pm, Ngeitsoh Siangshai entered her house at Ladrymbai Khliehdupon (EJH) and attempted to murder her.
