Notification

The Sohiong-Weilyngkut-Nongbsap road is temporarily close for all types of vehicular traffic with immediate effect until further notice due to the re-construction of the existing BUG Bridge on this road. During the period of closure, all vehicles are to use an alternate road via Nongur-Kohphet.

Art camp

The Thoh Shun Art Camp, 2013 organised by Riti Academy of Visual Arts under the aegis of the East Khasi Hills District Art will be held in commemoration of the birth anniversary of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore at Brookside, Rilbong on May 9. A book ‘Ka Thohdur Mynta’ will be released by eminent artist, Prof Shivaji Panikkar on May 13 at the same venue at 1pm.

Apropos of the news item on Thoh Shun Art Camp published in the daily on May 8, Riti Academy of Visual Arts has clarified that the Art Camp was organised under the aegis of the East Khasi Hills District Art and Culture Society and Indian Council for Cultural Relations with some support from Art & Culture Department.
