SHILLONG: Now the residents of Shillong Cantonment Board (SCB) can lodge their grievances with much ease and comfort without visiting the cantonment office.

The SCB on Friday launched its public grievances portal where people can register their complaints and grievances online at the click of a button.

Shillong Cantonment Board CEO S Prabakaran while expressing his happiness said that the portal will bring much more accountability and transparency in the functioning of the board.

He also said that the portal would go a long way in urging people to come forward and lodge their grievances without going through much hardship.

The public can also view the status of their lodged grievances and if their grievances have not yet been replied.

One of the most unique features of the portal is that people can even send a reminder for their complaint.

The portal was demonstrated to all the ward commissioners of the cantonment during its launching on Friday. People can also upload pictures if they have any evidence and proof of any wrong doing in the areas under the jurisdiction of the board.
