SHILLONG: The East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner Sanjay Goyal on Monday assured that he will examine the matter relating to the illegal issuance of no objection certificates and residential certificates by the Panchayati Raj institutions, illegally formed in the Sixth Schedule areas.

The assurance came after the Nongthymmai circle of both the KSU and the FKJGP met Goyal here to take stock of the action taken by the district administration in this regard even as the two-week deadline issued by the local pressure groups to the institutions to surrender their documents ended on Monday.
