Assaults

On May 11 at around 2.30 pm, one Brejitson A. Sangma assaulted one Toposh D. Sangma with a lethal weapon at Matchakolgre, Tura (WGH). As a result, the victim sustained injuries and later succumbed to his injuries on the way to hospital.

On May 11 at around 5.30 pm, two persons, Donlang Lyngkhoi (20) and Ricky Sohtun (18) assaulted one Makbul Khan (24) and Rohim Khan (27) at Mawlai, Mawdatbaki. Police have arrested the accused.

On May 11 at about 4.50 pm, one unidentified motorcycle rider assaulted one LI Singh, driver of Tata Sumo vehicle (ML-07A-1293), at Samanda (EGH). As a result, the victim sustained injuries.

One Kenningson G. Momin lodged a complaint at Nangalbibra PS that on May 9 at about 12.30 am, one unidentified person under the influence of liquor attacked the labourers numbering around 3-4 and also pelted stones at them. As a result, one of the labourers sustained injuries. Following this, the labourers retaliated and assaulted him leading to his death.

Arrest

On May 10, police arrested one Hollipton D. Momin (29) in connection with robbery case under Rongjeng PS.

Theft

On May 10 at around 10 pm, unknown miscreants broke into the house of one CM Flamian at Lower Nongrim Hills and stole one laptop computer and other computer accessories.

Dinesh Kumar Ojha, the SDE (CFA), CM of BSNL, Phulbari lodged a complaint on May 9 at Selsella OP that unknown miscreants have stolen one battery valued around Rs. 14,500 from Selsella Exchange (WGH).

On the night of May 8, unknown miscreants broke into the shop of one Zohas D. Sangma at Williamnagar Bazar (EGH) and stole electronic items valued around Rs. 1,93, 904.

One Benoy Bhattacharjee of M/s R.B Corporation, Beldarpara in Tura lodged a complaint at Gasuapara OP that on April 18, unknown miscreants stole iron rods from a construction site near Shiv Mandir, Border Road (SGH).

Complaint

One Sanjit Bhowmik of M/s Tata Motors, M/s Kirloskar Proprietor Ltd., and M/s Bosch Ltd., lodged a complaint at Nangalbibra PS that on May 9, it was found that the shop belonging to Suresh Sharma at Nangalbibra (SGH), was selling spurious Tata, Kirloskar and Bosch products.

Missing

One Emlang Sutnga lodged a complaint at Phra Mer Traffic Cell that on May 4, his truck (ML-04B-5442) driven by Bhalang Ksoo, was found missing along with Rs. 40,000.

Smugglers nabbed

BSF troops of Gumaghat in South West Khasi on Sunday apprehended four Bangladeshi smugglers while they were trying to exfiltrate from India to Bangladesh. The smugglers have been identified as Sukar Ali, Pahar Ali, Md Sahajan and Novel Ali. During search, the BSF party recovered 11 wooden plough and 4 axe from the possession of the smugglers.
