No breakthrough in teacher’s death

 SHILLONG: The South West Garo Hills Police are yet to make any breakthrough in the mysterious death of a local school teacher, Mamuni Ch Momin (30) in Garobada while adding that they are still trying to find the cause of death.

“Details of the case will be received only after getting the post mortem reports”, police officials said.

When asked whether the family members also come under the scanner following the quick burial of the body, sources said, “We cannot particularly pin point anyone from the family since the case is in its initial stage, we are suspecting everyone.”

The death of Momin has aroused anger and concerns among many in Garo Hills who believed that Momin was raped and murdered. As a mark of protest, a peace rally was held recently by the Nokmas of different A.King in the district including the A.chik students’ welfare association, A.chik youth welfare organisation besides others.
