SHILLONG: The Joint Action Committee (JAC) of NEHU Teachers’ Association (NEHUTA) and Non-Teaching Staff Association (NEHUNSA) in its meeting with the Vice Chancellor recently has resolved against placing any recent letters from MHRD on the Hill Areas Special Allowance (HASA) in the forthcoming Academic Council meeting.
However, the JAC alleged that recently the Vice Chancellor informed that he plans to bring HASA matter in the ensuing Academic Council meeting to be held on May 31.
The JAC will hold a general assembly of the employees (teachers and non-teaching staff) of NEHU on Wednesday to discuss and decide the future course of action.
