Thief apprehended
On May 28 at around 6.30 am, one Ruby Warjri (19) was caught red-handed while stealing iron rods from the compound of one Shngain K. Pyrbot at Lama Villa, Shillong.
One Montilang Shabong lodged a complaint at Lumdiengjri PS that on May 27 at about 12.30 pm, one Kitboklang Shabong snatched Rs. 450 from her at Lumdiengjri, Shillong. Police arrested the accused.
On May 27, Police arrested Gilbert Nongrum (19) in connection with a theft case under Nongpoh PS.
On May 27 at about 2.30 pm, one Rockystar Lyndem, Proprietor of M/s Phoenix Shop, was apprehended while he was downloading pornographic videos for the customers in his shop at Khlieh Shnong Sohra (EKH).
Theft
On May 25 at around 8 pm, unknown miscreants stole a car tape from one vehicle (ML-05E-2833) belonging to one Kyrshanbor Lyngdoh, which was parked at Umsohsun, Shillong.
On May 24 at around 11.30 am, unknown miscreants stole Vegetable Cutting Machine valued around Rs. 32,000 from a Grinding Mill belonging to one Mekenson Sangma at Kalchengpara under Tura PS (WGH).
On May 24 night, unknown miscreants broke into the house of one Md. Khairul Islam Mondol at New Bhaitbari (WGH) and stole jewelries valued around Rs. 4,30,000.
Assault
On May 24 at around 11 pm, Avinash Nath assaulted one Rijush Nath at Jalyiah Junction (EJH). As a result, the victim sustained injuries and shifted to CHC Khliehriat.
Complaint
Md. Salman Ali lodged a complaint at Khliehriat PS that on May 23, two persons, Rousan Choudhury and Muza Driz hired his Bolero vehicle driven by Md. Mafusul Islam from Khliehriat to Shillong. Later, after having food from a roadside stall, the driver became unconscious. The accused drove the vehicle towards Silchar. On reaching Thangskai (EJH), the duo abandoned the driver and drove the vehicle towards Silchar (Assam).
