Kohima: The ruling Naga People’s Front has taken the stand that the on-going ceasefire between the Government of India (GoI) and the Naga political groups does not have any ‘rehabilitation formula or any provision of sustenance for the national workers,’

In a press release issued by the NPF Press and Media Bureau has stated the ceasefire between the GoI and the Naga groups was initially announced as having no territorial boundaries and at prime ministerial level with no parameters.

However, the ceasefire does not have any rehabilitation formula or any provision of sustenance for the national workers, which has made the national workers (undergrounds) resort to taxation in various forms of taxations and the people have been made to suffer by bearing the burden.

The NPF stated that the GoI has not been sympathetic to the Naga people and despite the desire of the Naga people to see permanent peace; the GoI has kept the political solution at bay. (UNI)
