The Meghalaya People’s Environment Rights Forum (MPERF) in collaboration with Department of Forest & Environment, Meghalaya and MSPCB is organizing an Interactive Session on “Role & Function of National Green Tribunal” with Ranjan Chatterjee, Expert Member of the National Green Tribunal on June 8 at Shillong Club – residential section at 11am.

Convention

The general convention of KHNAM would be held at Jaiaw Shyiap and Lumpyllon Community Hall on July 7 at 10 am. KHNAM publicity secretary James Nongneng said that they would be having the election of the new office bearers of the Central Executive Committee (CEC) of the party during the general convention.

Seminar

As part of its continuing medical education programme, the Meghalaya Medical Service Association (MMSA) in collaboration with Baxter Private Limited is organising a medical seminar at Hotel Pinewood on Saturday at 3 pm. Dr Anurag Agarwal who is guest speaker of the seminar would give a lecture on the topic ‘Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis a viable option of Renal Replacement Therapy Option”.

Env day

Green Valley Industries Ltd (Max Cement) on Wednesday celebrated world environment day at its factory premises. A tree plantation programme was organized by the officers and employees and a total of 550 plant saplings were planted.
