Police Notice
On June 10 at around 3:45 pm, one unidentified male person (45/50) was found unconscious at Barik Point, Shillong. He was shifted to CH Shillong where he died. Matter is under enquiry.
Assault
lOn June 9 at around 12:40 am, Teibor Khonglah (18) stabbed one Newton John Thabah (18) with a sharp weapon at Ummulong, Upper Shillong. As a result, the victim sustained injuries and was admitted at CH Shillong. Police arrested the accused. Investigation is in progress.
lOn June 8 at around 7 pm, unidentified miscreants assaulted one Robalson D. Sangma (22) at Dobakkol Coal Mine (SGH). As a result, the victim sustained injuries and removed to PHC Nangalbibra, where he succumbed to his injuries. Matter is under enquiry.
Missing vehicle
One Westerson Makri lodged a complaint at Nongpoh PS that on June 9 at around 2 am, his new Bolero Camper vehicle was found missing from his residence at Umling GS Road (RB). Matter is under enquiry.
Theft
lOn June 9 at around 2 am, unknown miscreants stole one Lenovo Notepad and one bag containing, two cell-phones and Rs. 2,000 belonging to one G. Janet Dkhar from her car (ML-05J-4194) at MTC, Police Bazar. Matter is under enquiry.
lOn June 5 at around 7 pm, unknown miscreants stole one scooter (ML-08-4191) belonging to Lasang Zuala Lushai from Lower Chandmari, Tura (WGH). In this connection, Police arrested four persons, Kanbera A. Sangma (19), Dilchang Marak (28), Sellman Ch. Marak (32) and Andrew G Momin. Later, Police recovered the stolen scooter along with one motorcycle without registration number plate from their possession.
Molester arrested
One Ecmiland Lyngdoh lodged a complaint at Nongstoin PS that on June 8, one George Marngar (25) attempted to molest one Itoris Marwein at Mawthawpdah (WKH). He also attempted to molest other women, Skiarlindaris K. Bani, Ridalin K. Bani, Shimtilin Nongphud, Tidaris K. Bani and Idalin Thyrniang at Umraitmluh River on different occasions. Police arrested the accused.
Body recovered
On June 7, one body of a new born male baby was recovered from Simsang river near the PWD Colony, Williamnagar (EGH).
Rape
lOn June 5 at around 4 pm, one Rensing Marak raped one girl (20) at Balsrigittim (EGH).
lOn May 10 at around 3 pm, one Putul Barman raped one minor girl (17) at Iawmusiang, Jowai (WJH). Police arrested the accused.
Cheating case
One Jeronimus Shyrkon of Riangna village (WKH) lodged a complaint at Shallang PS that one Lasius L. Lynghkoi had cheated him of Rs. 85,000.
Kerosene oil supply denied
Agnes Kharshiing, CSWO President lodged a complaint at Laban PS that during the last eight years, the residents of Pomkaniew village under Mylliem Block (EKH), were denied supply of Kerosene oil by the following PDS Dealers–Wanbiang Kharkongor, Udip Kharkongor, Kdoin Kharkongor, Mishin Kharkongor, Sharaibon Kharkongor and Uwidalin Kharkongor of Pomkaniew village.
