Theft
lOn June 12 at around 10:15 pm, one Ray Kumar Nath, driver of truck (AS-01U-7035), stole coal belonging to one Namon Pakem from a coal depot at Lai Kilo, Dkhiah (EJH).
lOn June 9, miscreants broke into Selsella Higher Secondary School (WGH) and stole one computer.
Civilian killed
On June 11 at about 5:30 pm, six unidentified miscreants went to the house of one Nengwan Marak at Manggakgre (WGH) and attacked him with blunt weapons. As a result, the victim died at the spot.
Arrests
lPolice arrested Wanbi Papiah and Phonmiki Suchiang, in connection with theft cases under Jowai PS.
lOn June 13, Police arrested one Franky A. Sangma alias Clever (25), in connection with a murder case under Rongjeng PS.
Rape
A woman (33) lodged a complaint at Khliehriat PS that on June 12 around 8:30 pm, two persons, Hamkom Bang and Dha War, raped her and also threatened her with dire consequences at Tuber Sohshrieh (EJH). Police arrested Hamkom Bang.
