Eye camp

The Meghalaya Youth Foundation in collaboration with Mission Trust, Bawri Nethralaya, Shillong, will be conducting a free eye checkup camp at Markasa Village, Mawthadraishan Block in West Khasi Hills District on Friday from 10:30 am onwards. Dr Fenela L Nonglait, Vice Chairperson of the Meghalaya State Law Commission will be the chief guest at the programme.

Appointment

Justice (retd) PK Musahary, retired judge of Gauhati High Court has joined as the President of Meghalaya State Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission on June 18. The Commission will hold its sitting on June 28 and 29 at 11 am in the court of Meghalaya State Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission at MATI building to dispose off pending and new cases.

The Excise staff of East Khasi Hills district conducted raids and detected 32 cases with a seizure of 105.60 litres of i/d liquor and 104.560 litres of IMFL. 31 persons were arrested in this connection.
