KHADC clears deficit budget

SHILLONG: The KHADC on Monday approved a deficit budget of Rs 27,610 for the 2011-2012 fiscal.

The estimate had indicated total plan expenditure of Rs 88,22,39,630 while the total revenue was pegged at Rs 88,22,12,020.

As per the estimates, the KHADC is expecting to earn Rs 1.35 crore as license fee, while share from minerals and professional tax are pegged at Rs 15.25 crore and Rs 7.5 crore respectively.

The Civil Works and Development department received the highest allocation of Rs 56.42 crore, followed by General Administration (Rs 15.09 crore), Forest Administration (Rs 4.67 crore) and Revenue and Finance (Rs 3.73 crore).
