ACCIDENTS ACROSS STATE

A driver of a Mahindra Bolero travelling towards Nongstoin from Shillong, sustained injuries when the vehicle was hit by a truck coming from the opposite direction. The incident took place at Kynshi under Mairang Block, West Khasi Hills at around 2:21 PM on June 25. The injured Phanlijoy Diengdoh (39/M) was shifted to Tirot Singh Memorial Hospital, Mairang and then to Shillong Civil Hospital.

 Linda Bamon (33/F), a passenger travelling on a Jowai bound TATA Sumo (MLO4A – 2441) from Shillong, sustained injuries when the vehicle fell into a drain on the side of the road after it skidded on reaching Pommura under Mawryngkneng Block, East Khasi Hills. The incident happened at around 1:01 PM on the June 25.

 A motorist sustained injuries when the scooter hit an electric pole on the side of the road near the main gate of St. Edmund’s School, Shillong on June 24, at around 11:05 PM. The injured Aeery Thapa (26/M) was shifted to Shillong Civil Hospital.

 In a hit and run case reported from Mawjrong under Laitkroh Block, East Khasi Hills Middle Mawniew (65/F) sustained injuries after she was hit by a moving vehicle while walking on the side of the road. The incident occurred on June 24, at around 3:49 PM. She was shifted to Shillong Civil Hospital.

 A motorist and a pillion rider sustained injuries after they fell off the motorbike when it skidded at Lower Lumparing, Shillong on June 23, at around 11:58 PM. The injured Dalsing R. Marak (25/M) and Churik A. Momin (18/M) were shifted to Shillong Civil Hospital.
