Rural youth festival concludes

 NONGSTOIN: The three day rural youth festival which began on Tuesday concluded on Thursday, at the Multipurpose Hall DC office Mawkyrwat.

The festival was organised by the Nehru Yuva Kendra, Nongstoin in collaboration with the District Administration, South West Khasi Hills District, Mawkyrwat and the department of Sports and Youth Affairs.

The Deputy Commissioner, South West Khasi Hills District, Mawkyrwat A Mawlong IAS was the chief guest at concluding function in which the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mawkyrwat K L Nongbri and D Kharshiing were also present.

The participants were informed of various facts like development schemes of State and central government implemented in the District. Other programmes in the festival included career counseling, skill development, debate competition, talent hunt competition, social interaction, cultural programme and folk song.
