ANVC-B denial

SHILLONG: The ANVC-B has refuted the news report that three of its cadres were lynched by villagers at Bajengdoba saying that the victims were civilians.

In a statement issued here on Thursday, the outfit’s publicity secretary Doang D. Shira said that the victims were called by the Sordar of the village and they were lynched to death by certain group which outfit believes police would be aware of.

As per media reports, angry villagers on Wednesday lynched three militants suspected to be members of ANVC-B in Omarpur village in North Garo Hills district.

Police recovered two China-made pistols from one of the victims.
