Body recovered

On July 15 at around 2.30 pm, a unidentified male body was found floating on Umran river at Kynjoin, Umran in Ri Bhoi. The cadaver was sent to Nongpoh Civil Hospital for autopsy. The matter is under enquiry.

Theft

On the night of July 13, unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-08A-6730) belonging to one Bremingstone M Marak from Samanda in East Garo Hills.

Regarding theft of a truck (ML-04B-1540) from Ladrymbai in East Jaintia Hills, further report received indicated that on July 13, the stolen truck was recovered from Guwahati, Assam.

On July 12 around 8 pm, one Md. Saheb Choudhury stole Rs. 33,000 and one Hand Drill Machine belonging to Md. Karim Uddin from Lyngdoh Fabrication at Khliehriat West in East Jaintia Hills.

Assault

One Riwanlang Pala lodged a complaint at Jowai PS that on July 12 at about 6.45 pm, one Heimon Lytep assaulted and threatened her with dire consequences in her shop at Panaliar, Jowai in West Jaintia Hills.

Missing

On July 12, one Coniwell Thabah (36 yrs) was reported missing along with a new Maruti car from Mawkhar, Shillong. On July 15, the car was found abandoned at Lummawbah, Upper Shillong. However, the missing person has not been traced out. Matter is under enquiry.
