MeECL casual employees call off stir

 SHILLONG: The MeECL casual employees have decided to call off their indefinite strike that was scheduled to begin from Tuesday.

Representative of the casual employees, A Wahlang, informed that the employees decided to call off the strike after the Director, Corporate Affairs, MeECL, agreed to initiate talks with other Directors of the MeECL for enhancement of their wages.

Wahlang also appealed to all the casual employees of MeECL to attend to their duties from Tuesday.
