SHILLONG: Newly-promoted to the I-League’s top division, Rangdajied United FC have signed Lamine Tamba for the upcoming season.

Tamba, from Senegal, had made eight appearances last season for champions Churchill Brothers in the I-League, as well as four in the AFC Cup.

The defender had joined Churchill in the January transfer window.

Rangdajied also announced that they have retained 24-year-old South Korean player Shin Jin-Ho.

“We have signed Tamba on a one-year contract and retained our South Korean player (Shin) from last season,” Rangdajied United coach Santosh Kashyap was quoted as saying.

The Shillong club are reportedly aiming to sign other footballers soon.
