Murder

On July 23 morning, one unidentified person murdered Silban M. Sangma near Sokadam village (EGH) and looted Rs. 90,000 and one cell phone from him.

Extortionist arrested

On July 26 at about 2.30 pm, Police arrested one Baniohlut Lartang (29) from Umket village (RB), in connection with extortion case under Umiam PS.

Threat

On July 25, one Sanjib Ch. Momin, driver of BADO office at Baghmara obstructed the functioning of the office at Baghmara (SGH) and also threatened the staff with dire consequences.

lOn July 24 at about 8.10 pm, one Tearbi Suchiang threatened his family members with dire consequences at Shangpung (WJH).

Torture

One Bimlesh Kumari lodged a complaint at Tura PS that her husband, Anil Kumar has been torturing her and her children for the past 17 years and on July 25 circa 4.30 pm, he assaulted her at Tura (WGH). As a result, the victim sustained injuries.

Assault

On July 23 at about 9 pm, unidentified miscreants assaulted BNC/1626 Malakhi Lyngkhoi at Tura (WGH).

lOn July 22 at around 8 pm, one Kyrmen Phawa assaulted and threatened one woman, Sumar Shylla with dire consequences at Mynsngat village (WJH).
