 SHILLONG: The Association of Qualified Candidates, Grade-IV-2011, East Khasi Hills would hold a sit-in-demonstration in front of the office of the Directorate of Health Service, Laitumkhrah here on Thursday to protest the failure of the Department to appoint the qualified candidates.

In a statement issued here on Tuesday, secretary of the Association, Skhemborlang Pyngrope said the protestors would also wear black flags during the sit-in-demonstration. Earlier, the Association had demanded the DHS to terminate the services of all the alleged backdoor appointees by August 5.The Association had also opposed the decision of the Joint Director of Health Services in-charge Shillong Civil Hospital to regularise 49 adhoc and temporary employees against alleged violation of Government rules.
