NONGPOH: Peeved with the adamant attitude of the State government in allotment of jobs to the qualified DSC passed candidates in Ri Bhoi District, the Ri Bhoi District District Selection Committee Passed Candidate Association (RBDSCPCA) has decided to take out to the streets to register strong protests for non appointment even after clearing the DSC exam three years back.

It may mentioned that, a total number of 121 candidates were declared passed in the DSC examination conducted in the year 2010, out of which, 76 were appointed while the remaining 45 were left in the lurch for the past two years and none of the candidates were appointed in the various vacant posts in different department under Ri Bhoi District.

The RBDSCPCA president B Sweetly while informing The Shillong Times said, “We have been running from pillar to post seeking for our rights but all our pleas through form of memorandum which was submitted to the Chief Minister, Chief Secretary and Deputy Commissioner of Ri Bhoi District had fallen on deaf ears as they failed to take any initiative or to meet the demands of the candidates.

In this regard, the RBDSCPCA had decided to take out a procession on August 19 from 11am onwards starting from Ri Bhoi College junction to DC’s office, Nongpoh.
