Anti-infiltration directorate approved

 SHILLONG: Governor Dr KK Paul has approved the anti-infiltration directorate with headquarters in Shillong to deal with the problem of influx.

The move assumes significance in the context of demand from NGOs to introduce ILP to check influx.

According to an official statement, the directorate will be headed by an officer of the rank of additional director general of police or inspector general of police.
