The BSW 3rd year interns of St Edmund’s College placed at North East Educational Development Society  (NEEDS) organised the first ever ‘upcycling workshop’ at St. Rose Secondary School, Umpling on Monday.  The programme was attended by more than 150 students and teachers from Hubert Memorial School,  Umpling Presbyterian School and St. Rose Secondary School. The workshop taught students to prolong  the life of recyclable materials by redesigning or up cycling these materials like newspapers, bamboo,  and plastics into creative and artistic frames, vases and other reusable items.
